all aircraft are designed and built to strict guidelines and tolorences, its the maintenance regimes that decide how safe they are not the country of manufacture! if an airline doesnt want to spend the money keeping planes in good repair any aircraft can become dangourous! russia gave the world the lada riva and a guy on my street has a 20 year old one that runs better than my 8 year old focus hows that for russian engineering lol
